How to find a turbine spare part by its drawing number

A part name — “rotor”, “bearing shell”, “seal” — tells a supplier almost nothing: one turbine has dozens of different bearing shells and seals. What identifies a part unambiguously is its drawing number. With it, selection takes minutes; without it, days of back-and-forth emails.

Where to get the drawing number

  • Turbine passport and log book. The manufacturer’s documentation includes lists of assembly units with their numbers.
  • Assembly drawings and parts catalogs kept in the engineering department or by the shop mechanic.
  • Markings on the part itself. On rotors, bearing housings and coupling halves the number is often stamped or painted.
  • Previous orders and delivery notes. If the part was bought before, the number is usually in the specification.

How the number is built

Most numbers in our catalog look like this: 395.25.СБ, 1300.14.СБ-01, У250.70.СБА. They can be read in parts:

  • The first part (395, 1300, У250) is the project number of the machine or assembly.
  • The middle part (25, 14, 70) usually indicates the group of parts. The catalog shows this clearly: compressor rotors and impellers almost always have 25, bearings have 13 and 14, oil pumps 70, oil coolers 79, gear couplings 27 and 28.
  • “СБ” stands for an assembly drawing, i.e. an assembly unit rather than a single part.
  • The suffix (-01, А, СБ4) is the version or variant. This matters: СБ and СБ-01 are different parts that may differ in size.

This is a rule of thumb, not a law: different plants in different years wrote numbers differently. That is why we always check the number against the documentation before delivery.

One number, several spellings

The same number appears in documents as 395.25.СБ, 395.25СБ, 395-25 СБ or with a zero — 1300.025.СБ. Search in our catalog takes this into account: you can enter the number with or without dots and spaces, in Cyrillic or Latin letters — 395 25 cb will find 395.25.СБ.

If there is no number

No problem. Send us:

  1. the machine model (for example, ПТ-25-90/10 or К-500-61);
  2. the assembly name and where it is installed;
  3. a photo of the part and its main dimensions;
  4. the turbine or compressor nameplate, if it has survived.

With this information we will find the part in the manufacturer’s documentation. You can send a request via the form or a messenger.
